I didn’t write last night because I went to Dallas as planned. First out to dinner with my grandparents. That’s always a blast, they’re so much fun. My grandmother is the sweetest person ever and my grandfather is really the most interesting man in the world. And chicken fried steak. There was chicken fried steak. I’m such a Texan.

And then we went to my friends Michael and Crista’s like we always do after visiting my grandparents. Michael was my best friend all through high school in Dallas and Crista is his fiance and the only girl I ever get to hang out with in real life. I treasure these moments. And she’s been my greatest supporter since I started Old but New. Aside from being one of my biggest customers, she manages a shop where she wears my jewelry everyday and passes out my business cards to interested parties. And I hear she has my banner on her livejournal, but I’ve never actually been to livejournal so I haven’t seen. She also has loves the camera and the camera loves her. Here she is in a custom necklace she requested from me.

And since I was off enjoying myself out of town last night and didn’t write in my blog like a good blogger, I have 4 new pieces to show you. I LOVE the pink and white cameo. I really do.

Cindyg is one of the sweetest and most creative ladies I’ve come across since I arrived at Etsy’s doorstep. She’s the one who’s responsible for the incredible vintage collages that frequent my favorites list. And her treasuries are equally stunning and creative. I’m lucky enough to be featured in her newest and touched, as it’s a list of some of her favorite etsians. Mojitos with the gals, as fun as it is gorgeous.

I got a huge load of neat antique keys from OpulentOddities that I’ve been going through like a madwoman. Todays two new pieces are examples of that, but there are a lot more to come. And cameos. Lots and lots of cameos. I’m stocking up for the holidays. I’m a one woman factory line right now. Well…not right right now, but this week. I may be going to Dallas for tomorrow, so there may not be any updates tomorrow. Have a good one.

Today was the boy’s first day back to school. Yesterday I was a little melancholy about it, it’s been so great working side by side all summer. We’ve really enjoyed spending so much time together. But I can’t say I missed him at all today. I made jewelry from the time I woke up until now. I don’t know that I’ve had a more productive day in months. I even made my new listings for today while I was supposed to be taking pictures and listing this afternoon.

Finally stopping for the day, the boy has long since gone on to bed and now I’m going to get a little further on phase 2 of my gallery. I just can’t stop adding to it…that’s slowing down the process.

I wanna take a trip! I want to go far far away. I’m not sure where. I’m not sure it really matters. We just need to go! I take that back, we need to go somewhere cold. Instead, the boy will be tied down for the next 4 months. He starts back to school on Monday. We’ve been in a mad rush trying to get so much done before then. I know I will get no help after then. I’m not even sure we’ll be able to finish the gallery by then but I’m sure gonna try.

On the bright side, I’ve been kicking out a lot of new designs this week, including tons of cameos and a bunch of gorgeous filigree.  I’m so torn right now between my desire to  complete my gallery and make more jewelry.

You guys musta really sent me good wishes last night, because I had fantastic success on my jewelry spree that lasted until the wee hours of the morning. Tons of new cameos and earrings coming your way! Just in time too, my cameos were in hot demand this week. They’re almost all gone. I love these new earrings, I kept a pair last night very similar I’m wearing now.

Expect great things to come but for the next few days my posts will probably be brief.  I’m on the last stages of redesigning my gallery and it’s proving to be more time consuming than I expected to get things just right.  I’m off to do more of that now and will probably be at it for hours.  But I know it will be worth it in the end, it’s being expanded to nearly 50 photos and will be broken down into searchable sections.  It should be pretty swanky in the end.  Wish me more of the good luck you sent me last night!
