Fun Time

Sunday, September 30th, 2007

What a great day, it was my nephew’s birthday and we drove to Waco for the party. He turned 2, a fun time was had by all. And there was cake. I had a present for his sister too, she’s 3 and just started ballet. So a ballerina necklace, of course! I was so excited to get to do this for her, I took ballet for over 10 years starting at her age.

The best part was tonight when my sister in law messaged me to tell me what a struggle she had getting the necklace away from her at bedtime and how she had to promise her she could put it back on as soon as she woke up. And that this is the first time she’s ever even showed an interest in jewelry. Made my week!

And of course, some fun and girly jewelry to go along with my happy story. I’m not afraid to admit it, I love unicorns. I think everybody should love unicorns.

Hope all’s well. I’ll be off to Dallas tomorrow and back again to bring you new pretties to dazzle and amaze with next week. It’s pretty crazy how overstocked I am right now, I need to do some serious listing next week, so expect lots. I’ve been doing some serious preparing in hopes for a good holiday rush.

Tuesday Sparkles

I’ve been off on a long weekend so I knew I had to start the week off right with some of my new favorites. Lots of glitter and pretty colors, just how I like things. The new pink pearl earrings are named for one of my delightful blog readers and customers, Tracy of PinkPurl. She was so sweet to mention me in her blog this week and she had the neatest things to say about my jewelry!

Off to bed for me, I cannot believe how tired I am tonight. Hope everyone’s week started off well.  The next few should produce some neat new jewelry, I’ve been trying a lot of new things and getting much improved in the wire and filigree wrapping department.

Like a Kid Again

Oh yum! I have a new reason to love Etsy. And the mail. And life. And chocolate. My first edible purchase, Rosy did not disappoint. I’m sitting here eating one of her delicious brownies right now. I don’t think my husband has ever been more excited about an Etsy purchase, he even said we had to save some to take to his dad.

I got her original Beyond Belief brownies (they are) but she has all sorts of awesome sounding flavors. So if you like chocolate (you know you do!) check her out.brownies.jpg

Gonna be in Austin this weekend, so I may be scarce. I’m really excited! I’m meeting up with my childhood best friend who I haven’t seen in over 7 years! We used to live 5 houses down. I miss the days when friendships were forged at the bus stop. I met the boy at the bus stop too. It was fun telling her we got married!

I’ve listed some new filigree pieces. I love these darling earrings. My favorite color is blue and favorite flower is tulip so it’s a given. They make me happy.

A Small World

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

It’s been far too long since I’ve written, I know. I had to take an unexpected break but I’ve returned once again. While computer time was limited, I did get a bit of creating done and should be back to shouting from the rooftops as usual.

The funniest thing happened yesterday! Checking my incoming stack of packages yesterday, I grabbed the biggest and just tore into it. Then wondered why I got something I didn’t order. Then realized it wasn’t even addressed to me but to the person across the street but from one of my Etsy suppliers!!

An Etsy seller lives across the street from me and she shops in the same stores as me! How cool and coincidental is that? The post man must have just been too used to my deliveries and didn’t even look at the post! So I took it over to her and house and met her and she was really nice. I thought that was exciting and worth sharing.

The Big Unveiling

Sunday, September 9th, 2007

As balloons and streamers fall from the rafters, allow me to share with you my newly completed gallery! I’m so excited about it and proud of the work we did on it. My husband and I make quite a team and we always have a million ideas when we get to collaborate.

I’ve been reorganizing my jewelry supplies the past few days, it’s unbelievable how much I have accumulated! So this week I’ll be working on getting a real work area set up…one that’s not here at my desk. I have filled 5 bead boxes and can finally see my desk for the first time in months. I bought myself a craft table that matches my desk to celebrate my 100th sale and haven’t had the storage to clear space for it yet! So that will be my project this week. I’ll post pictures when I’m done. Hope you’re all having a great weekend.
