So for those of you who’ve been wondering where I’ve been(what, no one?), I’m sick AGAIN! Ugh. I’m becoming convinced baby germs are super germs. So flu-Sam(because any sickness involving aching, coughing, sneezing, running noses and hours tacked to a couch are qualified as such by me) has been trying to get well. It’s working…slowly. I have a tendency to stay up too late, which is incongruous to the whole getting better thing. I’m working on that(no, I’m not).
Before it caught up with me, I did get a few new things listed though. Hopefully they will tide you over until I’m well again. At least it happened on a rainy week when I couldn’t list much anyhow.
Hope everyone else is staying healthy and having fun. Soon I shall be back to good and ready to entertain you with an unusual story of brotherly love and a new favorite seller.
All that time I spent on social networking this week, I would feel bad if I continued to ignore my poor neglected myspace profile, which has acted more as a billboard on the road of internet travels than anything else. So I did what I could to make it pretty and interactive without having to put too much real time or energy into a website that usually gives me a migraine.
But I did come across this one fun thing when working on it. Surely I’m severely behind the times in this discovery, but photobucket has a neat slideshow feature and lots of templates for them. And with a free account, you can create one for up to 50 photographs and use it pretty much anywhere. I made another one for personal photos, but I really thought the one I made of a sampling of my gallery photographs was neat. It’s fun to me which is what matters, right?
Hope everyone is having a beautiful weekend, I am! I want to go outside and play. It’s been so nice out this week, I’ve got spring fever big time.

Now, the plan was to use this as an excuse to play hookie and go to the lake. The plan worked great and I got to feed the ducks, but it was a very blusterous day so it’s kinda(very) hard to hear me. Sorry ’bout that. And I stumble over words a bit, I was pretty nervous. But still, it was fun.

The scent of the day is lavender peppermint. I’m a little crazy obsessed with it right now. It started with room spray(that I’m almost out of!) and my home has smelled wonderful since. Spreading from there, it appeared in my laundry detergent(heaven!) and now it’s even infiltrated my lip balm.
So naturally I want more. I did a quick Etsy search and found lots more with which to fill my home and boudoir. I’ve narrowed it down here to just the things I need(want) most. For me, it is the smell of happiness.

So my weekly goal to reach a fifth page of listed inventory in my Etsy shop did not happen. Not even close. In fact, I think I have less in my shop today than I did a week ago.
Of course, that means that my sales have been good, which is excellent news, but it also means I didn’t get to list all that much this week. It rained nearly everyday the past week, there were very few chances to get good pictures. It has been suggested in the past I could get a lightbox to fix this, but I’m not quite sure I’d like that. There’s something more genuine to me about shooting in natural light. Also, I kind of like the sleepy quality I think my pictures have. Someone once said to me that browsing through my shop was like a bedtime story and afterwards, she was ready for a glass of milk. I liked that.
In any case, sales are picking up again, so I must be doing something right. Hope everyone’s having a good week. Contest ends Wednesday and you can expect another feature coming up soon. Now to get back to making stuff, I’ll get to five pages yet.
